Love Rug and Other Objects

Pia Larsen’s work is oriented around the subject of bodies and the language used to define them within contexts such as, medicine, popular culture and daily life.

The central piece titled Sweep, is suspended stainless steel rod and contains within it a mass of loops and haphazard shapes that compress into longer sweeping strands that delicately touch the ground at particular points on the floor.
